About Resilience
Resilience Montreal is an Indigenous-led community project established to support the homeless population in the Cabot Square area.
Where accessibility is a priority and ALL are welcome!
Come As You Are!
Created by the Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal in 2019, Resilience Montreal is an Indigenous-led community project established to support the unhoused and Indigenous population in the Cabot Square area. It is a low-barrier wellness center for the most vulnerable members of our community, providing a welcoming and safe oasis from the hardships of the streets. Here, people who have experienced trauma are both honoured and defended, while their voices are respected, heard, and amplified. The organisation gained independence from the NWSM by gaining charitable status in May 2021.
Resilience Montreal aims to provide critical services that restore dignity to the lives of its patrons while simultaneously meeting their daily needs. We offer volunteer and pre-employment opportunities to the homeless, as well social, financial, and mental health support and advocacy. The overall goal of our project is to foster reconciliation through enhancing the physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychological wellness of our clients.
